AM101 – Affiliate Marketing Defined
If you’ve been searching for ways to make money on line, for any length of time, then you will certainly have heard the term Affiliate Marketing.
Let’s start off with a simple definition.
Affiliate Marketing is when you promote somebody else’s product and you get paid a commission for each sale.
Commission based selling is hardly a new concept. In fact it has been around for many a long year. If you want a real life example, removed from the internet, think Realtors. They promote somebody else’s product, their house, and get paid a commission when someone buys as a result of their promotion and introduction.
In Internet terms that works in much the same way. You will be promoting a product that somebody else owns and when a person buys as a result of your introduction you get paid a commission. Probably the first and today the best known company engaged in Affiliate Marketing is, of course, Amazon.
